But after spending her whole life so far living with her parents in her hometown miles away from the university, it was time for a change. She never would have guessed that her new living situation in would lead her to meet the love of her life, and, later, to discover a truly jaw-dropping revelation about his past through an decades-old photo album.
At Newcastle University, it was not a requirement for all new students to live on campus. Craving a totally new experience than what she was used to, Heidi decided to get a spot in one of the student living apartments with a few roommates. After searching around the school, Heidi and her future roommates thought they had found the perfect place.
After a little while living with her roommates, she realized that the seemingly perfect home was not exactly what she was looking for. With a new school year coming up, Heidi realized she wanted to try out living alone in an apartment closer to campus.
She scoured the Internet for a new home, without knowing that in some way, the hunt would lead to more than just a new living space.
Heidi realized that she could definitely afford to live alone once she did research and jumped at the opportunity.
She ultimately settled on a cozy studio nearby campus. Once settling upon her new place, Heidi had to move out of her old room and into her new home. In a rush, she handed the new tenants her keys, flashed them a quick smile, and ran off to keep moving and decorating her new studio apartment.
As she watched her old home disappear in the rearview mirror, she thought she had put her days in that home behind her. But she would be back sooner than expected.
Heidi was settling into her new studio apartment easily enough. Everything was going according to plan, but the same could not be said for everyone. Within the group, the girls formed a trio, and after a sound check for an Ouachitones performance, the girls were singing a cappella when they were told by an onlooker that they should do Point Of Grace - The Whole Truth together.
She sang in a group called the Praise Singers, made up of four girls and four guys and they traveled around the country performing concerts. She became friends with Terry and Heather through Denise, who was her roommate and sister in the social club Chi Delta. Point Of Grace - The Whole Truth Heather, Terry and Denise made plans to form a trio and sing together over the summer, Denise went back to her dorm room and told Shelley about their summer plans.
They called themselves Say So, taken after Psalm where it says, "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Heather took care of publicity and album sales, Terry took care of the money, Shelley was in charge of booking and Denise was in charge of music.
Before their performances, they were the ones who would haul their equipment onstage and set it up. They developed a following that summer, and spent the remainder of the year Point Of Grace - The Whole Truth every weekend. After many fan requests, they recorded an independent album, and became favorites in the South and Midwest. Despite not seeing a reason to pursue a major record deal, the girls, encouraged by their family members, attended the Music in the Rockies Christian Artists Seminar in Estes Park, Colorado.
The girls found that, after Uselink - Depeche Mode - Ultra performance, there was major record label interest, and the group decided to sign with Word Records. It was quickly embraced by fans and critics, who compared the group's tight harmonies to that of pop group Wilson Phillips.
The album's next five singles also reached the top of the charts, a feat unmatched to this day. The group's catchy sound, inspiring lyrics and fresh-faced image increased their following, and songs like "I'll Be Believing" and "Jesus Will Still Be There" became fan favorites and regulars on their concert set lists.
After that tour ended, they began doing concerts on their own. The girls assembled in the studio towards the end of to begin work on the follow-up to Point of Grace.
Its original demo was described by bassist Nicky Wire as "crap" . In March , it was discovered that the song was used on the website of the British National Party as the soundtrack of an article describing "the violence, hatred, fragmentation and despair" wrought on London by the "great multicultural experiment".
Record company Sony successfully had the song removed from the site on the grounds of unauthorised use. However, the award was won by Robbie Williams for Angels. The melody of the socialist anthem, The Internationale can be heard at the start and end of the video, played on a musical box. This was a popular song on the Republican side during the Spanish Civil War.
Wire praised the single's video, directed by W. It features a typical nuclear family but with their eyes, mouths and ears sealed over with a flesh toned applicant.
The family seem to exist in a futuristic show room, fashioned into a highly clinical 'home' of sorts. Nicky Wire described the video as "surreal, mildly disturbing The song is in the Guinness World Records as the number one single with the longest title without brackets.
