Pacific Daydream is the eleventh studio album by American rock band Weezer, released on October 27, The album is their second release by Crush Management, is distributed by Atlantic Records, and is the most significant departure from their trademark sound to date. The lead single, "Feels Like Summer", was released on March 16, The second single, "Happy Hour", was released on October Weezer White Album Deluxe Edition. Weezer, also known as the White Album, is the tenth studio album, and the fourth self-titled album by American rock band Weezer, released on April 1, The album marks their first produced by Jake Sinclair.

It is the first release through Crush Music and was distributed by Atlantic Records. For the album, band frontman Rivers Cuomo explored new songwriting techniques, such as using a cut-up technique, adding potential lyrics to a spreadsheet and including them on songs, such as "Summer Elaine and Drunk Dori" and "L. Girlz", based on their syllable count and word stress. The album explores themes of gender dynamics, modern dating experiences and references to religious iconography.

Musically, the album serves as a throwback to the band's first two albums, Weezer and Pinkerton, while also serving as a tribute to the Beach Boys. Weezer continued the critical success of the band's previous release, Everything Will Be Alright in the End, while commercially improving on the previous release, reaching number four on the US Billboard with 49, copies sold in its first week.

But all of a sudden Weezer were in the mood to splurge and spoil their fanbase just one year on from the latter.

As every Weezer fan knows deep down, 10 songs that get the job done in ish minutes is perfect. Bonus points for doing a video with the Muppets though. In taking the criticism that befell the heart and soul that went into his previous album so personally, Rivers Cuomo reacted with something that sounded slick and ticked all the right boxes, but it made for a somewhat mechanical appropriation of what had come before and lacked a personal touch to really make those songs stick in any meaningful manner.

And just when a lot of old school Weezer fans thought they were out, they were reeled right back in.
