Jazz Latin New Age. Aggressive Bittersweet Druggy. Energetic Happy Hypnotic. Romantic Sad Sentimental. Sexy Trippy All Moods. Most young people will only know Slade for that Christmas record so it is easy to forget that they were a pretty damned good British rock band. Even at the height of their fame when I first bought this LP my friends and I regarded them as a pop group with all the glitter and glam and the absurdly misspelt song titles. Looking back now with the benefit of age and you can see that they were a valid rock band who produced some enduring tunes.

From the opening notes of Cum on feel the noise I was transported back to my youth and reaching for the volume dial. This album contains five of their hits and is backed up by some pretty good tracks including one that definitely qualifies as rock'n'roll. Switch off your brain and give it over to Noddy's piercing vocals and let yourself be transported back to a simpler time.

The kids don't know what they missed. One person found this helpful. Has a battered copy of this in the seventies that went to party after party. Great to hear it agin minus the scratches. A good introduction to Slade.

Has the hits plus a few less known gems. Buy this if only to remember what a fantastic rock and roll band Slade were. Owned all the Slade albums when i was in my teens, drove my sister mad when i bought the single sweeze me pleaze me, my first 45 wore it out. As a fifty something youth I decided to relive my teens.

As good as i remember just a little course recording wise. My first gig was Slade at Torquay Town Hall in They're part of my life. Slade Alive is still amongst the best live albums you'll ever hear. Brilliant album. Sound quality far superior than any previous Slade greatest hits compilations released by Polydor and Universal.

Union Square Music did a much better remastering job than the original record companies. See all reviews from the United Kingdom. Top international reviews. Translate all reviews to English. These guys were great and I love Noddy's voice.

As for a best of album this is pretty darn good. Thank you for your feedback. Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again. Das es dabei teilweise richtig laut zu geht kann man schon bei einem Titel ahnen -Cum on feel the Noize- das mache ich doch gerne. Geile CD. It was played on the "Slade Alive" live album from "Look At Last Nite" is from the "Slayed?" album, strangely. They could have put another older track on as opposed to one that had appeared on their previous album. This album is a good listen, but is somewhat contrasting in its inclusion of the glam hits next to the "serious" earlier material/5(26).
