The doyens of stoner rock are Masters Of Reality, Kyuss, Fu Manchu and Monster Magnet — the bands from which so many strands have grown over the past 15 years. Theose are the bands that came rushing headlong with their deep grooves and riffs, puffed up by a blood-rush of progressive ideas.
