It was great until Ronald Reagan ruined it. Well, on Allan Carr, anyway. That building has some history. My bad. They were both blue! Well, that's the history of the Gregg's Blue Dot location. I like blue and disco. I got so much to give. I want to give it. I want to get some too.
Because of posting R27, I had a dream I met my friend from again for the first time. The Paddle Board 2, because presumably, there was a Paddle Board 1. When did Probe open? I remember going there in the very late 80s. In addition to those mentioned, I recall going to: Afterdark.
Gino's on Vine at Santa Monica. Oil Can Harry's. A bunch of other places I'll probably remember later. Very tacky. Better left in the past. I'd believe it! Was there really a duck? I assure you, my life has had meaning and excitement without it. That's when L. No one cared if you were flat broke--if you were cute you were in. People were friendly. It was a fun time. And you didn't have to hang with your own race.
Though whenever I went to Ginos, I made sure I filled the tank up with gas before I got dressed, because I did feel quite uncomfortable dressed with Ginos attire at a gas station or anywhere else for that matter. The hair doos were another story all together.
Again every color you could think of was seeing at Ginos at one point or another, pompadours, greaser style, tails, wisps, usually packed on with excessive amounts of aquanet. Hair doos were all but normal at this exotic afterhours club. Ginos is also one of the few clubs that I have been too that many of its patrons arrived in public transportation RTD bus.

As I walked up the long narrow staircase I was very nervous, all I saw was darkness with incredible music coming through the walls.
I was frisked by a gay security guard, again scared the hell out of me. I tried not to show my fear and continued in like nothing was bothering me.
As I reached the top of the staircase I looked to my left and a really nice fish tank which looked to be out of place. I always associated fish tanks with peace and relaxation, and there was definitely none of that in Ginos.
It was a very lively, loud, energetic atmosphere with lots of excitement. Then I heard a familiar song by Nancy Sinatra called "Boots" which fit the atmosphere perfectly.
